Black Friday Sale Haul

Jay and I left after the Thanksgiving festivities Thursday night and drove up to Leawood/Kansas City to spend a little time alone and shop.
I didn't sleep well all night, so I woke up without my alarm at 4:30- in plenty of time to get ready and go the 1/2 mile over to Town Center Plaza to my favorite store!  There were only about 20 of us waiting outside to get in for the 6 am opening. (A couple of them were my size, so I had an eye out!)
They opened right on time, and every one quickly headed back to the sale area. It was crowded, but everyone was very polite, and tried to be as accommodating as possible. We were in a tight squeeze, but good-natured.  Jay watched me, and took my items as my hands started getting full, then sat in a chair and waited for me to bring him stuff- my usual M.O.  I didn't have to wait for a dressing room, because an S.A. saw Jay with a full lap, and went and got a room started for me. I tried on TONS of things. Just about everything on sale- if it was my size, I tried it on.  I think I was in there for an hour.  Then I went and checked out the jewelry and got in line to pay. I only had one person in front of me, and every line was open, so it moved pretty fast.
Compared to my unpleasant experience in Denver, this was night and day. Everyone was cheery and pleasant, and I had a HUGE purchase, but the sales girl was kind and chatty.  She even engaged Jay to make sure that all of my security tags were removed, so we didn't have any mishaps with that.
We went over to the Country Club Plaza store, but as expected, they didn't have very much to chose from. The new Leawood store has a bigger selection, and the staff is more pleasant. I used my birthday discount only on candles, since everything else I got was on sale.
Here is what I brought home (edit- I forgot a few tops. I got the Twisted Ascot in all 4 colors. $15 per shirt):

I know it's a lot, but I figured at these prices, I should get whatever I might possible use, and check it all at home. I don't have a store close, so I can't just run up there on a whim.
I also went to DSW and got these:

Audrey Brooke boots (see more knee high leather boots)
I exchanged a pair of boots I had ordered online, and got these instead. I love them!

Anthro Fitting Room Reviews (Dresses)+ A Major Score

My sweet man happily agreed to a last minute stopover in Richmond on our way home from visiting Heather at the farm this weekend. (Love that girl!) 
I was really hoping to find this and this, to see in person.  They have been on my wishlist since release.  And since I am trying to find at least 5 ways to wear my new purchases, I have been very carefully considering each item.  In case you couldn't tell by all the Polyvores I have been creating lately- using things I don't have yet. :)

Here are the dresses I tried on, and what I thought of them. Sorry for the blurry pics. I was using my phone, and it is very sensitive to movement.  Next time, I am taking my Cannon Powershot.

Soft Structured Dress by Weston Wear, $148

Tried on: X- Small

Pro's: Amazing fit!

Con's: Sheer top

I absolutely loved this dress, and have wishlisted it for sale. These pics are an X-Small, but I also tried on a Small.  I will buy the small, at first cuts.  This is a beautiful dress, love the fit, as it hides all my "mom of four" body flaws, and drapes beautifully. The length is perfect, too.

Under The Rug Chemise by Eloise, $58

Tried on: Small

Pro's: Super comfy, love the color

Con's: Sheer bottom (although, it is a chemise)

I wanted this to wear as a dress for Spring and Summer, and loved it in person as much as online.

The bottom is sheer, but I wear slips with dresses anyway.  It is very versatile. 

This came home with me at full price, but since it is for spring, it is going to stay in the bag, with the receipt, so I can re-buy at sale price. Just wanted to make sure I have it in my hot little hand. :)

City Touring Dress by Moulinette Soeurs, $138

Tried on: Size 4

Pro's: LOVE the color, fit

Con's: Don't have any

I adore this dress. It was another on my new release wishlist.  The color is perfect for many styling variations, and the cut is very flattering. I particularly love the high neck (but not too high), since it means no worry of gaping.  Also, it can be worn with tights and boots, or summery with sandals.  Lightweight, and soft material.  Seems very true to size for Moulinette Soeurs.  Wishisted for sale, but worth the price.

Now, on to my major score!  I found these bad boys in the corner of the sale room behind a rack in a bin.  I could not believe they were my size, and they were marked down to $39.95! I can't find the original price, but the last markdown was $89.95.
