Since moving here to the bustling metropolis of Valley Center, Kansas, we have sort-of settled into a Sunday routine. We were very actively involved at our church in Virginia Beach, so it has taken us some time to get used to a new environment on that front. The set-up is quite a bit different, as far as service/class times, and we have been feeling our way around. As of right now, we are going to service as a family, then a class second hour and still get out of church early enough to eat breakfast. So we have been going to Cracker (aka: Crack) Barrel every Sunday. This has sort-of forced me to be disciplined about our weekly eating, both by making sure we are eating healthy as well as making sure the meals are ready to go, so we are not tempted to eat out during the week. One of the nice things about living in a small town is that there are really only two restaurants, and we don't like either one of them! (Pizza Hut and Sonic- one in every small town in Kansas!)
I love spending Sunday with my family. This time of year, there is a lot of football- watchin' going on. I am a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, my husband is a NY Giants fan, so we have a fun rivalry. Also, we cook, watch movies, ride our bikes, run, ride the 4-wheeler- just family time. I look forward to Sundays all week. I love to go to church and learn, then spend time with my husband and children.
What do you do on Sundays? What is your favorite day of the week?
