Fun Gap Arrivals!

Well, as I mentioned before, part of my new job description with Gap is to bring new ideas to the social media front for our local Gap store. One of those things included starting a blog for the store. I thought I'd share some of the photo's I took for that blog over here, since I loved all the new merchandise I tried on. (That blog will NOT be all about me, it will also feature other employees and children, as well.)
First up is what I wore to work that day. :)
 In This Outfit:
Top: Gap Sweater (old), thrifted (cheap, cheap, similar)
Jeans: Pilcro Zip-Pocket Crops, Anthro (very similar, same fit)
Shoes: Janetta Flats, Nine West (similar print, cute print!)
Scarf: Urban Outfitters (similar, cheaper)
Earrings & Bracelets: Pearl Hoops, Wooden Beads, all Dillards (similar earrings, really cute bracelet)

 In This Look:
Gap Seamed Dot Top, Size X-Small
1969 Always Skinny Jean in Mint (color currently sold out online, available in-stores), Size 4
I have worn my turquoise cords to work several times already, and every time I do, I customers ask about them. I was thrilled when this color jeans arrived in our store so that I have something to direct people towards!
This top is soft like a tee shirt, and has a banded waist with a short dolman type of sleeve, this works great for layering with a long cardigan (like this one).
The jeans fit TTS as my normal Gap sizing, however, I wanted to try the 6 to see if I would have a little more room in the hip. I love that these are a more cropped leg, since they look better with flats and sandals, but would also work for boots.

This is the size 6 jean, and I prefer the fit on these. The waist was a little big, but I wear belts almost every day anyway, so that is not a problem for me. I also added one of our new Spacedye Infinity scarves to this look. The are soft and lightweight, adding interesting texture without being stuffy and you can't beat the price!

 In This Look:
Gap Arch Logo Hoodie Sweater, Size Small
1969 Always Skinny in Red Plaid, Size 4
I have always had a secret obsession with red plaid. I used to wear plaid pants often in high school, so when these arrived in store, I was raving about them to all the gals at work (they are skeptical). I couldn't wait to try them on, and once on, I still love them!
The fit is a bit bigger than the solid, so the 4 worked just fine in these. I love the whimsy of the red plaid, and the updated skinny fit. These are on my radar, but don't tell Jay, because his favorite quote is, "Don't spend your paycheck!"
This hoodie sweater is made of mostly cotton, but has just a touch of angora to add luxury at an excellent price point. I think it's cute alone, but made even more cute like this with a patterned bottom.
Below you can see the same look re-created with the blue plaid Always Skinny and the Logo Hoodie in cream.

What do you think about these new Gap arrivals?
I have had a few of you ask about the fit of some of our items. If you see something you have questions about, let me know and I will look at it while I am at work and tell you what I think!
Happy Wednesday!
