Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore....

Well, we are back from the Chisholm Trail, and arrived home to a burst of warm weather!  It was 70* in Virginia yesterday.
We had a great trip, and I enjoyed the time with my husband. (Although I missed my kids terribly!)
We looked at an amazing school our kids asked us to check out, Valley Center High School, since they have a great wrestling program, also, their volleyball program is awesome, so my daughter will be able to continue.
We looked at some great commercial real estate spaces for Jay, and found a winner location:
A former Froz yogurt place that needs minimal conversion for his office.

We looked at some nice homes that have great potential for rental, and visited two churches on Sunday.  We actually liked both of them.
And we had a great visit with my Grandma, Aunt, Uncle and Cousins.  All in all, it was a good trip.
We sat down with the boys when we got home, and talked with them about the entire situation, and told them we don't feel either choice is wrong. We are happy here. Jay likes his job, and he is good at it. We have a wonderful life, and were not seeking a change.  But this opportunity is too perfect for our family to ignore. Jay has wanted to own his own office for a long time, and this is ideal.  We are earnestly praying for clear direction.
So for now, we are walking forward in faith, and watching for what God is doing in our family.

OOTD catch-ups coming. And, YES! I did pack my 30 for 30 picks, and didn't cheat.  (This is harder than deciding whether or not to move!)

  1. You guys will make the best decision for your family - and change can be a good thing!

Plus if your hubby takes the old froyo place as an office, does this mean he can offer coffee, tea and pomegranate tart to his visitors? ;o)

  2. Lisa-
He already has his eye on a great coffee pot, but no tea or juicing. :0 He doesn't want them to stay too long! Haha
    Thanks for the encouragement. :)
